Trade Intelligence reporting in Massmart Retail is specific to the Game retail trading brand. Cambridge and Rhino stores are being divested and Builders Warehouse falls outside of the FMCG focus of Trade Intelligence reporting.
Game positions itself as a discount multi-category retailer of general merchandise, groceries, food and liquor. Game has 121 stores in South Africa and 28 across 11 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Game Reset was highlighted as a key area of focus for the group during FY2020 as part of the Massmart Road to Recovery turnaround plan. Game Reset is featured once again as a strategic focus point for FY2021, outlined in the Group’s latest Integrated Annual Report
